Project Description
War Letters Collage

Wisconsin War Letters is a Web-based digital media showcase featuring projects created by our state’s students. This project puts first-person accounts of Wisconsin citizens’ World War II experiences into the hands of students, inspiring further research and creative expression.

Students are encouraged to interpret these valuable primary source narratives as dramatic readings, video displays, and multimedia presentations. Completed projects will be digitally archived on this site where they can be shared with others in tribute to those who were part of this important era.

This project is coordinated by the Educational Communications Board, Wisconsin Public Television, Wisconsin Public Radio,
and the Wisconsin Historical Society. It is supported, in part, by WETA’s presentation of Ken Burns’ The War.
