Rules are important in every-day life, whether in your family, school, community or beyond. Understanding where rules come from, why they exist, and their importance to a democratic society is a message everyone should hear.
EPISODE DESCRIPTION:
In this episode, Haley, Lily, and Trent see the importance of rules in everyday life. Haley and Lily begin playing a game of chess, which requires them to learn the rules of the game. In the meantime, Trent is told that in order to go on an upcoming field trip, he must follow the rules in order to obtain permission from his parents. The episode ends with them understanding why rules exist and why we have to follow the rules in our society. This episode explores also three real-life situations where kids are using rules in order to make a difference in their own communities across the nation.
