EBS (Educational Broadband Service) is a transmitted set of frequencies in the 2500-2686 MHz band. They have been primarily used for transmission of instructional programming by educators. ECB (Educational Communications Board) has several EBS systems around the State.
Some systems in the State are used to connect live instruction from a studio site to students residing many miles away in several different locations. Other systems have also been used to deliver programming on request.

The advantage of wireless delivery of signals is that EBS receive equipment can be purchased for under $100 per site.
