Overview

  • EBS (Educational Broadband Service) is a transmitted set of frequencies in the 2500-2686 MHz band. They have been primarily used for transmission of instructional programming by educators. ECB (Educational Communications Board)  has several EBS systems around the State.

  • Some systems in the State are used to connect live instruction from a studio site to students residing many miles away in several different locations. Other systems have also been used to deliver programming on request.

  • The advantage of wireless delivery of signals is that EBS receive equipment can be purchased for under $100 per site.
