Teacher Guides and More
Teacher guides enhance the value of all instructional television programming broadcast in Wisconsin. Several series also integrate multimedia components, such as Web sites and interactive software. These materials are made available by the Wisconsin Educational Communications Board for purchase (see the Teacher Materials list). In addition, numerous teacher guides are provided online at no cost (see Online Teacher Guides).
The ECB also publishes two periodicals containing news and information about Instructional Television, as well as related resources, services, projects, and events.
They are:
Parade of Programs —is the comprehensive annual guide to instructional television programming in Wisconsin. This print catalog includes both curricular and topic indexes. Published each fall, the Parade of Programs is available for $10 per copy. (The cost to
out-of-state customers is $20.)
Digital Parade Of Programs —is your guide to instructional television programming online. Program correlations to Wisconsin’s Model Academic Standards can also be found here.
Interconnect —is a monthly newsletter provided to ECB’s Regional Liaison Services member schools. It contains news on topics of regional interest to Wisconsin’s educators, updates on ECB happenings and projects, the monthly Surf Report and more.
Schools that are members of a regional educational telecommunications area (RETA)
automatically receive free copies of Parade of Programs and Interconnect for each teacher.
