The online resources here include atlas maps, activities, lesson plans featuring electronic "expeditions" to far-away places, national geography standards, as well as "Xpedition Hall" and "Blue-Ribbon Links."
The Learning Web
From the U.S. Geological Survey, this site
explores things on, in, around, and about the Earth, such as land, water, plants and animals, and maps.
GeoGame: An Interactive Game for the Web
Since 1991, this Global SchoolNet Foudation project has run three GeoGame sessions a year. Students research geographic information about their own community, as well as decipher clues about the communities of other classes that playing the game.
