Supported by clips from past television and film versions, leading television actors
discuss the motivations of major characters in scenes chosen from five of William
Shakespeare’s plays. A full performance of each scene introduces students to the
characters; key lines; and themes such as the supernatural, persuasion, kingship,
guilt, and insanity.
