This lesson describes the waves of immigration that changed social patterns and labor relations in the late nineteenth century. It also explores the changes that industrialization and urbanization brought
to the country. Duncan and his father visit Milwaukee, where they
learn about the push and pull factors which influenced immigrants to the U.S. from a Polish immigrant.
