DVD Options
If you've recieved a copy of the DVD with a sticker on the back cover, follow these instructions for proper playback of the DVD’s on a Mac:
1. Go to: http://vlc-media-player.en.softonic.com/mac
2. Click on the Download link where you will be redirected to another web page, click on the Free Download link
3. The download window will appear behind your browser window
4. A .DMG file (called vlc-0.9.3.dmg) will mount and open on your desktop
5. The download will open in a new window and you’ll see an orange & white striped cone icon
6. Drag that icon into your applications folder to install the application
7. Once the software is installed you can drag and drop the VLC.app icon into your dock for easy access
NOTE: Since Microsoft is no longer updating the Mac version of the Windows Media Player, you may need to install the VLC Media Player or Flip4MAC to play .wmv video files on your Mac
To play the DVD in the VLC media player:
1. Make sure the DVD is loaded and mounted on your desktop
2.
Choose File: Open Disc from the top menu
3. Make sure that the radio button labeled DVD is clicked
4. Click OK Wait a few seconds and the DVD will start to play in the VLC media player window
